Security delays from Guernsey
Due to upgrades to security at Guernsey Airport, there may be delays in excess of 40 minutes to process passengers through security. Therefore, to ensure there is adequate time to clear security before your flight, passengers are encouraged to arrive at least 1 hour and 15 minutes before departure.
It is also recommended that passengers carry the minimum hand baggage possible, and carefully consider what items are permitted through security (please view our "Permitted items through security" page for more information). Passengers may also be required to check in larger items of cabin baggage.
Maximum cabin bag dimensions will be strictly enforced. Please visit our "Cabin baggage allowance" page for further information.
Furthermore, some items are not permitted in hold luggage, please see our "Restricted items" for more info.
When passing through security please prepare yourself in advance - i.e. jackets off, metallic items removed from pockets and liquids in a separate clear bag, this will help to speed up the process for everyone. Please see this link for further information.
Passengers looking to check-in or bag drop, please ensure you arrive as our desks open. Opening times can be found in our "Check-in & bag drop at Guernsey, Birmingham, and Manchester" section.
If you miss your flight due to being stuck in the queue at security, please contact us at +44 1481 267267.
We are unable to organise or refund any accommodation necessary as a result of delays through security.
