Engineering

Aurigny Engineering covers a variety of roles and skills including Licenced Aircraft Engineers, Aircraft Technicians, Technical Services, Supply Chain and Cleaners.

We are based at Guernsey Airport in our Hangar Facility and perform Line and Base Maintenance on the Aurigny Fleet of aircraft including Embraer 195, ATR 72/42 & Dornier 228. 

CAA/EASA B1 and B2 Engineers are required for Line and Base Maintenance of ATR-212A, E195 and D228 aircraft.

A minimum of one type rating on our fleet is required (with proven recency) and further type training will be offered. These are full-time permanent positions based at our hangar facility at Guernsey Airport. We work a four-on four-off shift pattern with a rotating early and late shift start. Aurigny offers competitive rates of pay depending on qualifications, type ratings held and experience.

Hours:

40 hours per week, with two paid 15-minute breaks, and one 30-minute unpaid lunch break. A flexible approach to working hours is required.

Role Purpose:


Primarily responsible for supporting the Shift Manager in ensuring the maintenance activities of their relevant shift are performed to meet Aurigny’s operational requirements.



Key Accountabilities:


B1/B2 Certifying Engineer holding Aurigny Aircraft Type approvals. 

Minimum of 4 years’ experience of Supervising staff in a Certifying role

Proven shift management experience to ensure all necessary functions are performed to meet the operational needs with the resources available and provide accurate handovers

Be able to communicate with other areas of the business, especially Operations to provide accurate and timely information about the Fleet serviceability during delay events

Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety policy requirements.

Tasks carried out in a timely fashion and within policies. Delegated tasks to others are completed in a cost-effective timely manner ensuring such work is carried out to Standards.  



Essential Skills/Experience:


  • B1/B2 Licensed Engineer with relevant type approval
  • 4 Years Supervisory experience
  • Ability to recognise and deal with challenges promptly and efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A clean category B driving license 
  • Must keep good time keeping, take pride in the quality of work with good team working skills 
  • Have knowledge and use of IT systems (particularly ASL, Centrik, Microsoft)
