As Guernsey’s airline, Aurigny is proud to offer a wide range of services and lifeline links to the Bailiwick and its visitors.
Established 50 years ago, we have had the privilege of serving millions of passengers over this time, and currently operate more than 15,000 flights a year, to 14 destinations.
Aurigny is owned by the States of Guernsey and our network includes services to Guernsey, Alderney, and destinations across the UK and in Europe.
History of Aurigny:

1968
Sir Derrick Bailey forms Aurigny Air Services. In its first year, the airline carries 45,000 passengers between Guernsey, Jersey and Alderney.

1971
Aurigny is the first company in the world to operate the Britten-Norman Trislander.

1975
1 millionth passenger carried.

1977
Aurigny bans smoking on all scheduled flights, long before any anti-smoking campaigns.

1999
Aurigny begins operating daily services from Guernsey to London Stansted with Saab 340 aircraft.

2002
The website Aurigny.com is launched, featuring a new online booking facility.

2003
Aurigny is acquired by the States of Guernsey in a deal to safeguard the future of several key air links, including the threatened Guernsey-London Gatwick route.

2004
Aurigny.com sales top £12 million in just 20 months.

2005
All UK services from Guernsey are now operated by 66 seat ATR72 aircraft.

2006
The airlines millionth passenger is carried on the Alderney-Southampton route. Overall, Aurigny has flown 10 million passengers in its 38-year history.

2008
Aurigny celebrated 40 years in operation and picks up its first of four accolades from the consumer magazine Which?, voted 4th best short-haul airline.

2009
Aurigny take delivery of two ATR 72-500's and the frequency of flights from Guernsey to London Gatwick is increased. The airline also announced that it will be operating winter flights to Grenoble.

2014
The Embraer 195 Jet operates its first flight after being bought for the Guernsey-Gatwick route.

2015
Aurigny is recognised with the Silver Award at the European Regions Airline Association awards. In the same year the States of Guernsey agrees to recapitalise the Aurigny group.

2016
Aurigny is ranked highly at two major awards. Firstly, named fourth best short-haul airline in the Telegraph Travel Awards, and then ranked second in the latest Which? Magazine best short haul/economy airline survey.
