Latest travel information - Coronavirus

UPDATE

30 April 2021

From the 14th May ‘Category 2’ countries and regions will be reintroduced. This means any country (or in the case of travel to the UK, any region) with a prevalence below 30 cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 population, which also satisfies other Public Health criteria, can be considered Category 2. Arrivals from Category 2 destinations are tested on arrival and on day 7, and must self-isolate until they receive a negative result from the day of arrival test - which may take up to 48 hours. They must continue to observe ‘passive follow-up’ rules for a full 14 days. If they decline to have one of the two tests, they must self-isolate for 21 days. All passengers are required to create an online Travel Tracker account and complete their trip details within 48 hours of travel.

From the 14th May, a £25 charge will be applied for tests required as part of your arrival in the Bailiwick.  This includes your test on arrival, and your test on either day 7 or day 14 (depending on which Category you have travelled from).

You can pay this charge through your Travel Tracker account.

You are not required to pay this charge if you are:

  • A child under-12
  • Travelling for medical reasons
  • Accompanying someone who is travelling for medical reasons
  • Travelling for compassionate reasons

16 April 2021

From the 23rd April, ‘Category 3’ countries and regions will be reintroduced. This means any country (or in the case of travel to the UK, any region) with a prevalence below 100 cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 population, which also satisfies other Public Health criteria, can be considered Category 3. Arrivals from Category 3 destinations are tested on arrival and on day 7, and must self-isolate until they receive a negative result from both tests. They must continue to observe ‘passive follow-up’ rules for a further 7 days. Again, if they decline to have one of the two tests, they must self-isolate for 21 days. All passengers are required to create an online Travel Tracker account and complete their trip details within 48 hours of travel. Additionally a charge will be made for each covid19 test as required by the States of Guernsey. See States of Guernsey for full details.

Full details can be found on the States of Guernsey's website.
