Civil Contingencies Authority: ‘Do not travel to the Bailiwick unless it is essential’
The Civil Contingencies Authority agreed at its meeting on the 7th January that no non-essential travel into the Bailiwick should take place. A permit is now required to travel to the Bailiwick, please see here for full details.
Effective immediately (22 Dec 20), those arriving from Category 4 regions and countries will be required to self-isolate until they receive a negative result from a day 13 test. If they decline to take a day 13 test they will have to self-isolate for 21 days.
Those who choose to self-isolate with someone who has travelled to the Bailiwick will also need to adhere to the same requirement for testing on day 13 or self-isolating for 21 days, even if they did not themselves travel.
Before booking and travelling, ensure you understand your self-isolation requirements by visiting the States' COVID-19 travel guidance page. You Must pre-register on the States of Guernsey Travel Tracker prior to travelling TO Guernsey (except from Alderney) - here.
