In and around Alderney
The third largest of the Channel Islands, Alderney is unspoiled, peaceful, natural and totally refreshing.
Imagine a little island - just one and a half miles wide and three and a half miles long with just over two thousand
friendly and welcoming inhabitants.
There is something for everyone every week of the year in Alderney - wonderful walks, rough pathways across the common,
long, rugged cliffs, excellent golf and tennis, the golden, sandy and blissfully uncrowded beaches and the pretty town
of St. Anne's.

What's on
The beautiful church of St. Anne is referred to as 'The Cathedral of the Channel Islands'.
Alderney is small enough for all parts to be reached on foot. In addition to the picturesque cobbled streets and lanes
of St. Anne, Alderney is a haven for wildlife, flora and fauna and offers many interesting and panoramic walks across cliff
paths, roads and lanes to nature reserves and common land. A series of guided walks is organised by the Alderney Wildlife
Trust and the Alderney Society. Boxing Day walk - meet at the Trust office at 14.00. Call 01481 822935.
Visitors are welcome to enjoy the Island's picturesque and testing 9-hole course, arguably one of the most scenic courses
around. Hired clubs and trolleys are always available, green fees are the lowest in the Channel Islands and one seldom has
to wait. Call 01481 822835.
